Job Summary:

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external users to deliver consistent, clear, concise, and reliable information
• Ensure all user facing documentation is of the highest quality, meets the applicable standards, and is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Help the company continuously improve internal processes and external deliverables.

Essential Functions:

• Effectively collaborate with product engineers, product marketing, product managers, and product support to develop high-quality documentation.
• Create and maintain technical information and documents, including assembly guides, owner's manuals, troubleshooting guides, service bulletins, and parts removal and replacement procedures.
• Assess, analyze, and evaluate versatile audiences, including non-technical users, to produce effective, user-friendly content.
• User test product functionality and features to ensure a thorough understanding of the content needed for the end user and provide feedback to the applicable departments.
• Help manage the multilingual content needed and work to stay within the translation budget.
• Assist in creating/editing/reviewing service-related videos-assembly, troubleshooting, and service parts removal and replacement procedures.
• Study, evaluate, and analyze user feedback to understand customer pain points and integrate the feedback to improve documentation quality.
• Manage the templates used to create documentation, ensuring they meet brand standards and third-party certification requirements.
• Maintain document revisions and accurately track lifecycle changes in the products.

Qualifications:

• 5 or more years in a technical writing role for technical, mechanical, and/or consumer product documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate and obtain the necessary approvals throughout the review process.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high quality, detailed documentation.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical/mechanical concepts and make them easily understandable.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help others.
• Excellent written skills.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro.
• Experience working within a Product Development Process (PDP).
• Experience with SolidWorks Composer and SolidWorks.
• Experience using, organizing, and maintaining a content/document management system is a plus.
• Working knowledge of fitness equipment is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing/Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
