Technical Consultant / Technology Leader

• Responsible for the research, development and presentation of the most applicable and effective technologies available that meet the project objectives
• Collaborate and engage with business (Sales and Marketing) and technology (Product Development) teams across TRUE to plan, execute and finalize all aspects of a given project
• Regularly research, introduce and share industry trends and technologies with leadership team and project staff as necessary to educate and influence
• Expertly apply project management principles according to a standard Product Development Process (PDP)
• Leverage skill and experience in the technology field to shape and deliver upon the technology path of specifically-assigned projects
• Lead matrixed resources to deliver technology solutions as specified by project scope, milestones and cost targets

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Utilizes best-of-breed technologies to propose, design, plan and deliver solutions for the assigned project
• Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues and changes tied to the product development initiative
• Ensures deliverables across engineering teams are high quality and clearly documented
• Builds constructive business relationships with senior business stakeholders and ensure project support and commitment
• Identifies and communicates project vision, goals and objectives
• Defines project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners
• Monitors and guides work of technical personnel, ensuring that development tasks are in alignment with business and technical objectives
• Oversees all project activities across both the technical and business perspectives
• Identifies resource needs and communicates with cross-department leadership to secure necessary resources and cooperation
• Demonstrates expertise in project management discipline and techniques
• Interacts with all levels while leading and motivating cross-functional teams

Business Objectives

• Facilitates and drives project scope and requirement clarity from key stakeholders
• Manages and tracks project velocity, financials and other KPIs in relation to the plan and published progress reports
• Facilitates assignment of resources to activities and monitors performance across resource channels
• Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives
• Conducts stand-ups and retrospectives as defined by the PDP and ensures that the team is continuously learning from the past

Technology Skills and Experience

• Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, team management, and organization skills
• Strong Project Management background within a Software Development Life Cycle and working experience with associated tools (Software Configuration Management (SCM), defect tracking)
• Proficiency in Project Management tools such as: MS Project, Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Confluence
• Familiarity with networking, data, wireless and connectivity technologies strongly preferred Web APIs, REST, JSON, OAuth, Bluetooth, ANT, Near-field, SQL, relational database and data mining concepts
• Understanding of Embedded Systems and networking security concepts a plus
• Software Development skills a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio
