Job Description: The Sourcing Specialist will play a key role in managing and developing our supplier base, ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality materials and components for the manufacturing of fitness equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented, strategic thinker who can build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, analyze market trends, and contribute to the overall cost management and efficiency of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, quality, and lead times for materials and components.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent product quality and supply continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and logistics to understand material needs and timelines.
- Monitor market trends, sourcing risks, and potential supply chain disruptions, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Prepare and maintain procurement reports, analyzing supplier performance, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Review contracts, agreements, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance to ensure alignment with the company's quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Assist with forecasting material requirements and inventory management to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or fitness equipment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to drive cost savings without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in using data to make informed decisions and solve complex problems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
