Software Engineer - Product Development

As a Product Development Software Engineer at TRUE, you have a number of responsibilities, but the primary one is to contribute all of your development skills to get "technology product" out the door. For TRUE, that product is one of our premium cardio equipment consoles, each of which is a uniquely outfitted combination of hardware, embedded software, network connectivity components and external plastics.   Your mission is to design, develop, build, test, automate, troubleshoot and review software for deployment to the market and do everything necessary to achieve this within the team dynamic and agile workflow. Responsibilities and Objectives

• Analyze requirements, developing and implemented sound designs with the highest quality
• Follow development process and procedures consistently
• Acquire and utilize new development skills as needed to complete projects successfully
• Collaborate with teammates with varying technology skill levels
• Participate in peer review and continuous improvement activities
• Respond to and actively participate in service/support escalations for areas of responsibility

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of full-stack software design and development experience, using technologies such as Java, C/C++, JavaScript. Experience with design and development of embedded systems and networking security concepts is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills
• Experience within a disciplined Software Development Life cycle (SDLC), with emphasis in agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
• Experience with tools for Software Configuration Management (SCM)
• Experience with project management, defect and collaboration tools such as: Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Confluence
• Familiarity with networking, data, wireless and connectivity technologies strongly preferred Web APIs, REST, JSON, OAuth, Bluetooth, ANT, Near-field, SQL, relational database and data mining concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in a technology-related field, such as Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
