Senior Graphic Designer

The Senior Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for providing creative solutions for communications, marketing and digital needs for the company. The ideal candidate will have expertise in conceptualizing, design and execution of products that clearly communicates messaging, captivates audiences and upholds the brand. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ability to conceptualize, design and produce innovative, high quality and cutting edge, trend forward professional visual communications for print, digital and video formats.
• Ability to inspire, inform and/or captivate intended audiences based on creative concepting and design.
• Adhere to brand guidelines and standards throughout day-to-day work.
• Ability to be a strategic thinker, work proactively on designs and turn around product quickly
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Develop layouts and handle production design including abilities to determine scope of a project, advise on creative direction of work and make appropriate recommendations
• Determine approach and messaging in design
• Create images that identify a product or convey the message
• Select colors, images, text styles and layouts
• Present designs to supervisors and potentially other audiences
• Make adjustments/edits and incorporate appropriate changes for final design
• Proof work to ensure it is error free
• Maintain brand consistency throughout various campaigns, projects and programs
• Work closely with CC&M teams and departments throughout the city to produce innovative design and marketing materials.
• Track progress of existing projects and ensure timely completion and accurate reporting. Coordinate printing and production of materials as necessary.
• Coordination with various production and service vendors (printing, mailing, signage, apparel, specialty items, etc.).
• Exhibit a professional, positive attitude with a willingness to grow professionally.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prefer Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
• Three to five years in graphic design, marketing and creative services or related field preferred.
• Proficient in concepting, graphic design and development, printing and production
• Ability to work virtually/mobile if necessary.
• Strong organizational skills/detail oriented.
• Self-motivated and independent.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while prioritizing.
• Able to perform and excel within an integrated, fast-paced team environment.
• Knowledge of Mac and PC systems.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• AP Style Guide knowledge a plus.
• Fluency in Photoshop and Illustrator is critical
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Comprehensive Design Portfolio is required
