Reliability Specialist

Essential Functions:

• Review and Analyze cardio fitness equipment systems designs
• Carry out testing and analysis projects both independently and in collaboration
• Analyze product failures and determine root mode of failure
• Develop design of experiments, test plans and test fixtures for testing
• Carry out condition and performance monitoring of critical equipment in order to recommend optimum maintenance activities
• Identify and advise repair priorities on all failures
• Ensure root mode of failure information is recorded
• Recommend appropriate actions to improve reliability
• Assist in the design, planning, estimation, installation and commissioning of new or recommended testing equipment to improve reliability
• Provide technical and specialist advice on reliability matters
• Diagnose escalated product failures and work with Quality and PD to develop corrective action plans for product issues
• Review Engineering changes of designs for reliability purposes
• Engage with Product Development teams in product design reliability improvement
• Provide technology support, interface with other departments company-wide, and facilitate product reliability across the organization

Essential Skills:

• Ability to analyze product failures and determine mode of failure
• Skill in the use lab equipment
• Experience with drive motors, lift motors and electromechanical systems
• High level of problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, collaborative, open-minded and eager learner
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Skill in the use of office communication and documentation software (MSOffice or equivalent)
• Commitment to quality of work and follow-through to completion

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 year experience in product analysis and troubleshooting
• Fitness industry experience strongly preferred

Working conditions:

• Office / Lab environment
• Some travel
