Project Support Technician

Job Summary:

Provide technical project support and coordination of software testing and release efforts for the company's products. Work with individuals and teams inside and outside the company to establish, document and test product requirements. Serve as escalation point for issues coming from the field.

Essential Functions:

• Perform product and software testing prior to release.
• Write software specifications.
• Act as a contact point for field escalations.
• Provide troubleshooting and issue analysis.
• Coordinate with Engineering and outside vendors to address issues that require software or hardware changes.
• Coordinate project schedules among design projects and verification plans.
• Create and organize test plans and test cases.
• Maintain detailed technical history of products to aid in support and troubleshooting efforts.
• Organize and manage the development of product information and related communications, including software release notifications, product specifications, and errata.
• Engage with Product Development teams in product design improvement and feedback.
• Perform formal and informal product training for individuals and teams within the company.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in similar or related role.
• Experience working within a team environment.
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Must have time management and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with computers and software.

Education:

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
